Breakfast is created every Thursday morning by volunteer college staff. Local businesses, Ahern’s Fruit & Health Foods and Foster IGA donate food to subsidise the cost of this program.
Overseas Learning Experiences
At Foster Secondary College we encourage students to have a global outlook on life including an increased awareness, acceptance and appreciation of different cultures. We currently offer two Overseas Learning Experiences to students.
Science – Programs
Science forms part of the core curriculum at Years 7 and 8 and becomes part of the elective programs in Years 9 and 10. In years 7 and 8 the focus is on hands on, practical, problem solving activities which build core skills, concepts and understandings of students in preparation for the more specific Science courses in Years 9 and 10.
The FSC Community Program has been designed to focus on the engagement of our Year 9 students not only in school, but also our wider school community. Students develop skills to undertake the challenging Prom Bushwalk during Semester 1.
The FSC Music Program is part of the South Gippsland Schools Music Program which comprises four other schools, Korumburra SC, Leongatha SC, Mirboo North SC and Wonthaggi SC. It aims to provide quality instrumental, classroom and ensemble music education instruction to secondary school students in the South Gippsland region.
